Senatorial Aspirant Lauds Ebonyi Govt Over Payment of Backlog Pensions

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Aspirant for Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Comrade Marcelo Nwaji Anyigor has lauded the Ebonyi State government over the payment of backlogs of gratuities to pensioners in the State.

Recall that the Ebonyi State Government has commenced payment of outstanding gratuity to over 1,500 out of 1,715 civil servants who retired between 1996 and 2021 in the state civil service.

Reacting to the development, Comrade Anyigor, a frontline Aspirant for the Ebonyi South APC Senatorial ticket described Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as a leader who is determined to serve the people responsibly.

"This is a pure demonstration of a responsible leadership that Ebonyians all yearned for when they came out to vote massively for APC and governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru," he said.

Speaking to journalists in Abakaliki the State capital, the Senatorial Aspirant urged Ebonyians to be positive while continuing to support the current administration of Governor Nwifuru and his determination to deliver good governance.

"All Ebonyians must realize that good leadership comes from God, and God has chosen to bless the people with a leader who has their interest at heart, they should keep support alive.

"I urge everyone to be positive about this government because it is a people's government, remember that the slogan for the manifesto is to meet up with the people's charter of needs, and that is exactly what the governor has done by ensuring that those retirees are made to smile," he added.
