Independence Day: Ebonyi South Senatorial Aspirant canvasses Support For Nation-Building

Commemorating Nigeria's 63rd and Ebonyi State's 27th Independence Anniversary respectively, the All Progressives Congress Aspirant for Ebonyi South Senatorial position, Comrade Marcelo Nwaji Anyigor, has called for a collective prayer for the leaders of the nation for excellent performance in their various areas of jurisdictions.

Comrade Anyigor recalled that Nigeria at the age of 63, following its creation on 1st October 1960 has attained an adulthood stage where the citizenry relief should emphasise much on their reasonable wills through prayers, creating reserves and navigations for economic growth and advancement.

The Senatorial Aspirant noted that Ebonyi at its 27th Independence Anniversary on this year's 1st October has made a logical impact in its development strides especially on governance and infrastructure advancement even though it is still in its youthful age.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for his determination to change the ugly narratives heralded in the country, noting that, "for Mr. President to have urged Nigerians to be patient with his administration due to hardship emanating from petrol subsidy removal has simplified how he has the citizens in his heart."

He maintained that despite the hardships and other challenges emanating from insecurity which have been confronting the nation, the current administration has many things in stock to address the plights of the citizens.

He prayed for 'the nationhood to improve in love, peace, unity and progress,' stressing the need for a socio-political and economic turnaround under the present regime in touching humanity.

While commending the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Nwifuru for his leadership ingenuity since assumed office, Comrade Anyigor described him as an ideal builder and humanitarian leader whose passion for uplifting the state, called for massive support regardless of different political affiliations and social backgrounds.

He further congratulated Ebonyi citizens particularly the people of  Ebonyi South Senatorial District whom he aspires to represent in the Red Chambers, urging them to continue to stand tall as God's army in defence of democracy.

He decried cases of communal clashes, kidnapping, abandonment of federal government projects, uncivil attacks, destruction of valuables and different challenges encountered in some parts of his senatorial district and attributed the causes to the enemies of democracy.

Comrade Anyigor who believes that every power belongs to God, noted that any resistance to democracy, equity, fairness, justice, and above all; the rule of law, should be better labeled a defeated enemy in this contemporary age.

"This independence anniversary, marking the birthday of Nigeria on 1st October 1960 and Ebonyi State on 1st October 1996, is a thing of honour and joy to be a witness this year.

"It is a time to pray for our leaders, our dear country and state for optimum performance in the areas of leadership, economic revival, and understanding despite the differences of social, religious and academic backgrounds; but for God's love and peace to reign among us every day.

"May the Lord through his spirit raise an army from dust and ashes, strengthen us as one people from one state and nation to defeat the battles of economic crisis,  marginalisation in the political landscape, denial to reasonable dividends of democracy.

"The Spirit of God says, according to the Scripture, for my army is about to hit the beaches and shores of every country and nation afar and they shall drive back the army of darkness at the sound of my shofar! For my army will be young and not old, and will save over one billion souls! So, there is nothing the enemy can do to stop God, who gives every power.

"So, my dear constituents, let's keep our hope high and positive, as we celebrate this year's independence anniversary because the liberation time has arrived. I wish greater celebrations to the good people of  Ebonyi State and Nigeria in general. The labour of our heroes past shall not end in vain, Amen," the Senatorial Aspirant proclaimed.
