Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha on Monday played host to members of Edda Law Students Association, EBSU chapter, who were on a courtesy visit to his office.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the group, Mr Omaka Sunday Chima said, they were in his office to Congratulate him for leading his party, the All Progressives Congress APC, to Victory in the last general election. Chima commended the Chairman's efforts in restoring peace in all parts of Edda, assuring him of maximum support of the Association at all times.
On his part, a member of the Association and the senior special Assistant to the Governor on Internal Security, South, Comrade Okenwa Nnachi Uka, lauded the leadership ingenuity of the state APC chairman, which he said, is geared towards the betterment of Edda People.
According to him, "Mr Chairman, we have seen your untiring efforts in ensuring the total restoration of peace in Edda land. We have seen that you want the betterment of Edda People that's why you brought Prince Chima Ekumankama to be our council Chairman. You want the betterment of Edda People that's why you brought Prince Etta Uka as the Commissioner for internal security. Mr Chairman, you want the betterment of Edda People and that's why you brought some of us as the senior special Assistant and special Assistants to the and you are not resting, you're are still making moves to bring more people onboard. We are grateful, Mr Chairman. We are assuring you that we will contribute our quota towards the realization of a peaceful, secured and prosperous Edda".
Responding, Chief Emegha thanked the law students for coming to interact with him.
He urged them to make their studies a priority and strive to heed to the conduct and ethics of the law profession, noting that it is a noble profession to be.
Chief Emegha enjoined the law Students to embark on sensitization campaign in secondary Schools in Edda with the view of making them to know the importance and need to study a professional courses.
He tasked them to do everything to promote the image of Edda People and that of their profession and
assured them of his continued support in their studies and pledged to offset school fees of all the final year law student of Edda extraction of Ebonyi State University in the current session.
