The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has rejoiced with the entire Izhi Nodo clan on her 2023 new yam festival (ojiji).
His felicitation message read thus:
"From the days beyond recall, yam has always been seen as a male and symbol of authority hence the popular assertion that it is the king of crops.
"With this in mind, I wish to warmly felicitate the entire people of Izhi Nnodo clan as they roll out beautiful drums and other cultural displays to celebrate the 2023 new yam festival "Ojiji Izhi" in their dialectal language.
"As the custodians of culture spearhead the the annual commemoration, I wish to immensely appreciate the entire people of Izhi, especially your illustrious son and our father, His Excellency, Right Honourable Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his accommodating and benevolent spirit in governing our dear state, Ebonyi.
"May the celebration of Ojiji Izhi festival which represents a bountiful harvest for the people with a common genealogy and heritage, bring more unity, peace and progress in parts of the State, now and always.
"Once again, happy celebration to my dear brothers and sisters from the Izhi extraction".
