The special Assistant to Governor Francis Nwifuru on Internal Security, (Urban) Hon. Panchris Ikechukwu Eze (Power) said, the Government of Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is fully committed to synergizing with all security agencies to stamp out crime and criminality in the state, stressing that no criminal will be allowed to fester in the state.
Eze, stated this on heels of recent successful arrest of some hoodlums in different parts of the state by the security agents in collaboration with the operatives of state neighborhood watch.
According to Eze, the criminals were involved in vandalization of government property, dealers and consumers of nkpurumiri and other related hard drugs, kidnapping, child trafficking, rape, stealing and cult related crimes,. The Special Assistant to the Governor on Internal Security Urban, emphasized that they are not relenting in tackling the criminals, warning any of them still hiding in any part of the state to steer clear of the state or be smoked out.
Eze, who served as the special Assistant on Internal Security to the immediate past Governor, noted that the administration of Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is committed to securing life and property of all Ebonyians.
He noted further that his office will pursue to the later, Governor Francis Nwifuru's zero tolerance for crime in the state, averring that it will be a suicide mission for any criminal to contemplate plying its trade in the state.
He warned those that occasionally tried to disrupt lawful business in the state through enforcement of illegal sit-at-home order to stay away from Ebonyi as such such order doesn't work in the state.
The Special Assistant to the Governor assured that why they will sustain the clamp down on criminals urging all the people in the state to go about their lawful business all the days of the week and volunteer useful information that will help security agencies in tackling the pockets of crimes in the state.
He affirmed that all security agencies in the state including the neighborhood watch are in healthy synergy and are closing in, on criminal hideouts in the state and vowed that they will make Ebonyi State hell for criminals.
"We have declared total war against the criminals in the state. His Excellency, our able and youthful Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has given us the necessary boost to tackle all forms of security threat in the state.
We're assuring every law abiding citizen of the state of total protection of lives and their properties in the state. We know their hideouts and we are taking the fight to their hideouts.
"We're ready to implement to the, His Excellency's people's charter of need on security. No sit at home in Ebonyi state. Everybody should go about their lawful business. Ebonyi is peaceful and we will continue to make it more peaceful for businesses to thrive.
"It is either the criminals change or they leave the state for us. Criminals can't operate here. We will make this state hell for criminals.
"I urge all peace loving citizens and residents of the state to always furnish us with useful and timely information to enable us serve them better".
