The Zonal Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Ebonyi Central, Hon. Peter Ndubuisi Nworie has described Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as a true democrat calling on the people of Ezza Nation to throw their support behind him and his administration to take state to greater height.
Nworie, who is the chairman of the appointment review committee set up by His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to go round the 13 Local Government Area and review the appointment made so far by his administration and other subsisting appointment in the state, stated this on Tuesday, Ebiaji, the Ezza North council headquarters during a visit to the area.
He avarred that despite the unsupportive role played by some leaders of Ezza, the Governor began his appointment with an Ezza son, Dr Monday Uzor, who is his Chief Press Secretary.
He urged them to set aside acrimonious act and work together for the good of Ezza Nation and State at large
Nworie noted that the committee was in Ezza North in continuation of the statewide appointment review, assuring the people of the readiness of the Governor to accommodate all parts of the state in his administration.
Speaking during the visit, the ALGON Chairman who is also Ezza North council chairman, Chief Moses Ogodo Ali Nome, knocked the people for their abyzmal outing during the just concluded elections, blaming it on some leaders, he described as sabotours from the Area. He praised the spirit of sportsmanship desplayed by the state Governor who despite numerous political provocations and unprintable social media attacks accommodated numerous sons and daughters of Ezza in his Government with juicy positions.
Chief Ogodo Ali stressed that his next task is to bring together all sons and daughters of Ezza Nation to support the current administration of Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
The council Boss commended the leadership qualities of the Governor and his magnanimity in appointing Ezza sons and daughters into strategic positions in his Government, urging them to reciprocate by supporting his administration wholeheartedly and shun divisive tendencies.
Other stakeholders who spoke during the visit include, Chief Ben Nwobashi, Chief Boniface Awoke, Barr. Justice Igboke Ewa, Hon Haggai Chukwu among Others thanked the Governor for setting up the committee.
Similarly, the committee equally visited Izzi Local Government Area where stakeholders and party leaders converge to review the appointment of the Governor so far in the area.
Addressing the committe and stakeholders, the Izzi Local Government Council Chairman, Barr Stephen Emenike Nwankpa appreciated the Governor for initiating such move assuring him of their unwavering support and solidarity at all times.
The Chairman who was represented by the vice, Hon Mrs Helen Aduga praised the Governor for his grassroot inclined administration, noting that the appointment review exercise has given all segments of the state Sense of belonging in his administration.
