Stakeholders of Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Wednesday,7th June 2023 paid a solidarity visit to the first female Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency, Hon Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila at her Office, Old Government House, Abakaliki.
The Stakeholders of the Council Area who were led by the Council Chairman, Hon Uchenna Nnajiofor Ibiam were received by the Deputy Governor at her Conference Hall at exactly 1pm.
Addressing the Stakeholders, the Deputy Governor expressed her gratitude to the stakeholders for the visit and assured them that her irrevocable bond with Afikpo Stakeholders and the entire good people of Afikpo remains intact.
While commending the Council Chairman, Hon Uchenna Nnajiofor Ibiam, the Traditional Rulers and other Stakeholders for their positive disposition towards the Government of Ebonyi State under the leadership of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Deputy Governor sued for peaceful co-existence and political harmony among the elites and people of Afikpo in particular and Ebonyi State at large to enable the new administration fully deliver on its mandate and responsibilities.
Earlier in a remark, the Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area, Hon Uchenna Nnajiofor Ibiam who once again congratulated Her Excellency, the Deputy Governor on the successful inauguration of the new administration of Gov. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, disclosed that Afikpo Stakeholders are in her office to show their solidarity and loyalty to her especially as her new Status as Deputy Governor confers on her the Leadership of Afikpo Local Government Area.
He noted that it is a great honour for the first Female Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State to come from Afikpo Local Government and expressed joy that such landmark political development is happening in his time as Chairman of the Council.
He therefore on behalf of the stakeholders wished the Deputy Governor a successful tenure with her Principal,His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru , expressing confidence that the administration will consolidate on the gains recorded by the past administration and even break more frontiers for the overall development of the State.
In their separate speeches, the Chairman of Afikpo Traditional Rulers' Council & Chancellor, Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, HRH Ezeogo Engr/Arch Ewa Elechi; the Chairman, Forum of Leaders of Afikpo, Engr. Chief Timothy Nwachi and High Chief Hyacinth Ekuma Ikpor (Opia Ehugbo) all described the State Deputy Governor, Hon Princess Patricia Obila as a reliable and passionate Mother that will contribute significantly to move Ebonyi State forward and assured her of their continued prayers, support and solidarity.
