Gov. Umahi Lauds Leadership Foresight Of Ikwo Council Boss, Barr. Nwankwo

Governor David Nweze Umahi has commended Ikwo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Barr Sunday Nwankwo for his all inclusive in Ikwo, stressing that his leadership foresight has helped in uniting all stakeholders and the people  of Ikwo, which informed the massive victory recorded by the APC in the February 25th presidential and national Assembly elections in the area.
Umahi however, renewed his calls on the people of Ikwo to give block votes for Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru and APC Candidates for Governorship   and House of Assembly in the coming polls.

Governor Umahi made the call  on Wednesday, during a town hall meeting with people and Stakeholders of Ikwo.
Governor Umahi who insisted that Izzi Clan deserves the support of every segments of the State, urged all and sundry to vote APC across board on Saturday in the interest of equity, justice and fairness.

"I am very happy that at my time, we have a new dawn in a democracy, democracy is all about number.

"I have told Ohaozara people, Afikpo people, Ezza people, Izzi people that no clan can make themselves Governor.
"I want my dear people of Ezza to know that no clan can make itself Governor, it is by partnership."

While in Ikwo Local Government Area, the Governor restated his determination to return gratitude to the people after strong showing in the Saturday's Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
"You rescued us in the last election, you did very very well and I have to commend you very highly, you are entitled to higher Offices Ikwo Nnoyo people, because you merited.

"Thank you very much for your performances, thank you very much for your sons and daughters that are working with me.

"This Government, fear not, no one is going to disadvantage you, I am guaranteeing Francis Nwifuru that there will be no affliction to his Governorship because of Ikwo Nnoyo."
Governor Umahi assured that the ongoing construction of 199km Abakaliki Ring Road would be completed before the end of his administration.

The Chairmen of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr. Sunday Nwankwo, while welcoming the Governor and his entourage to assured that they would leave no stone unturned to ensure comprehensive victory for APC in the Saturday poll.
"For us, you have come for a mid-term electoral assessment and we want to say, welcome sir.
We want to thank you for the opportunity you provided an enabling environment for ue to express ourselves.
'On the 25th of February, Ikwo people trooped out in Mass to make their choice.

"For the record Your Excellency, it was APC all the way. We're approaching the 11th of March Your Excellency , thank you for stopping over to encourage us. If we were decided to give eighty percent, your coming today will take it to One hundred. Your Excellency, be assured that come Saturday 18th of March, Ikwo Noyo clan will re-enact their electoral feat as they have always been known to do and we shall be returning APC all the way again come Saturday.

"Your Excellency be assured that your coming again will be in the cause of your state wide celeebrations of one hundred percent victory for APC. Congratulations in advance Your Excellency".
Some stakeholders of the Councils in attendance were, Deputy Governor, Dr Kelechi Igwe, Chief Okeagu Ogadah, Eze Dominic Alo,  Ambassador Franklin Ogbuewu, Chief Vitslis Ekechi Nwode, Chief Celestine Nwali, Barr Emeka Nwode, Chief Livinus Ilang, Mr Sunday Oñuzu, among others, pledged their readiness to work together for the victory of Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru and all APC candidates in the area.
