Election Aftermath: Onicha Legislative Council Berates Detractors of Council Boss

"We the Councilors of Onicha Local Government Area have noticed with displeasure some unwarranted, accusations, smear campaigns, attacks, vituperation, gang- ups and character defamation against the Executive Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area,Hon Chief Chidiebere Uzor (Obosi) following the successful conclusion of March 18th, 2023 guber election in the local government.

"More worrisome, is the fact these unfounded allegations and attacks against the Council Boss, are coming from those he has given their all to, betrayal at it's peak.

"But in keeping the record straight, we wish to make the following statements:

"That we the Councilors of Onicha Local Government reaffirm our support, solidarity and especially, our confidence in the capacity, competence and commitment of *Hon. Chief Chidiebere Uzor(Obosi)* to people oriented leadership on Onicha Local Government Area.

"That we feel disappointed that after all the illicit team up, mayhem, unwarranted terror and killings unleashed against the good people of Onicha Local Government on the day of the election by  PDP desperados and their conspiratorial Labor Party folks, instead of them to seek the forgiveness of the good people of Onicha LGA, they resorted to cheap blackmail against the workaholic chairman of the local government to deceive the gullible.

"That inasmuch as we condemn unfortunate killing of any Onicha Local Government person during the election, we state that Obosi is a clean man with clean hands, a compassionate deep seated humanist with impeccable records of peaceful dispositions both in his public and private life, he could not possible has hand in the killing of any Onicha LGA person.

"That those who have arrogate themselves the job of the security agencies whose job it is to investigate and fish out the papetrators of crime should know that blackmail and false accusations against innocent man is consequential.

"We therefore call on the opposition elements in Onicha Local Government to play by the rules and stop the distractive games against the Executive Chairman. Leave Obosi alone, stop instigating the good people of Onicha Local Government against their workaholic chairman.

"That we call on the good people of Onicha LGA as well as our stakeholders to continue giving their unreserved support to the Executive Chairman as he mean well for Ndi Onicha LGA. Elections have come and gone, we must all give necessary support to continue his good work to Ndi Onicha LGA.

"Once again, we congratulate our Governor-Elect, Hon. Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON), our Senator-Elect and the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, CON for their respective victories at the polls in recently concluded general elections. Their Excellencies, your victories represent vote of confidence and general acceptance of Ebonyi people and their firm believe in equity, justice and fairness

"We also congratulate our irrepressible and dogged Executive Chairman, Hon. Chief Chidiebere Uzor (Obosi Aku) for his wonderful roles and ensuring that our Governor-Elect (FON) got the constitutional required 25% of Onicha votes despite the overwhelming machinations, gang-ups, intimidations and terrors unleashed by the PDP desperados. Obosi, you are a man.

"Lastly we call on security agencies to double their efforts in fishing out any one that has hand in the killing of any Onicha LGA person".
