BREAKING: INEC Declares Kenneth Eze Winner Of Ebonyi Central Senatorial Seat

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Kenneth Eze, the Senator-elect of Ebonyi Central Senatorial district.

Professor Ehiri of the Chemistry Department, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo, the INEC Returning Officer announced the results at the collation centre in Ezza South Local Government Area (LGA).

Eze, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored a total of 31,317.  votes, Senator Onwe Emmanuel of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 26,138,  Nwonu Eupraim of Action Alliance party (AA) polled 118, Henry Ikechukwu of Action Democracy Congress (ADC) polled 264, Nwuruku Lawrence of Labour party polled total of 15,138, Benjis Okechuku Otubo of New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), polled 496 votes, Ogodo Stanley Ogechukwu of Nigeria Rescue Movement (NRM) 1067, Lazarus Ogbe of People's Democratic (party PDP), polled 19,160, Mgaba Daniel of Social Democratic Party (SDM), 61 votes, while Nwonu Sunday of Young People's party (YPP), 57 votes. 

The announcement brought triumphant uproar in the area and was flanked by a mix of jubilation and songs of victory at the INEC office, Onueke, Ezza- South Local Government Area capital.
