The Wife of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Chief (Mrs) Rachel Ogonna Umahi has welcomed the newest born baby of the year in the State.
Mrs Umahi welcomed the new born baby at the Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki.
Mrs Umahi who was overwhelmed with joy, appreciated God for the gift of the baby in the State. She noted the new born baby is an indication of God's love to the family and the State at large, describing the child as a great richer, adding that many people would make heaven through the child.
Mrs Umahi while thanking Staff of the hospital for their caring to women in labor, urged them to continue their good works in the life of Ebonyi Women in the interest of all, charged parents of the baby to train the child in the fear of God and prayed for longevity of life, good health, God's blessings, wisdom, protection among others to dwell in the life of the new born bay as she continue to grow.
However, Mrs Umahi made donations of cash gift, big tubers of yam, wears, among others to the baby.
The State Commissioner for health Dr. Daniel Umezuruike commended Mrs Umahi for her visit to the baby and urged mother of the baby to take proper care of the baby while praying for God's special blessings upon their family.
Dr Umezuruike called other First Ladies in the Country to emulate the good gesture of Mrs Umahi to better the life of women in the Country.
On his part, the Chief Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital Dr. Richard Ewa, thanked Mrs Umahi for her supports to the hospital and assured to continue providing quality services to patients in the hospital.
The Mother of the baby Mrs Favor Attah, expressed joy over the visit of the Governor's wife and thanked her for the honor done to her and her new born baby girl.
She prayed God to bless Mrs Umahi in good health and prosperity while describing the new born baby as a favor to her family noting that a lot of testimonies have been recorded in her life since she conceived.

The husband to the woman Pastor Chijioke Attah who could not hide his joy, extolled Mrs Umahi for the honour she bestowed to his family and assured to take care of the wife and the baby properly.
Our correspondent reports that the baby was delivered safely through a spontaneous vaginal delivery (normal delivery) at 12:52am.
The Governor's wife was accompanied to the visit by the wife of the APC Governorship candidate in the State Chief (Mrs) Uzomaka Nwifuru, the wife of the State Deputy Governor Mrs Ethel Nnenna Igwe, the Commissioner for women affairs and social development Mrs Deborah Okah and her counterpart of human capital development Mrs Ann Aligwe as well as Rachel Umahi women among other distinguished personalities.
