Preliminary testimonies from the apprehended culprits of the Ekoli Edda mayhem have exonerated the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha of any involvement in the crises, police reports.
Barr. Uchenna Orji, the commissioner for information and state orientation, revealed this on Tuesday, while briefing journalist on the outcome State Executive Council meeting of Monday, 16th January, 2023 held at new Exco chamber, Ochudo Centenary city.
Orji said, "Exco received a briefing on the police interim report on the ugly incident that happened in Edda, Afikpo South Local Government Area and the Governor’s directive on those involved in the unfortunate mayhem that led to the loss of lives. Exco noted the Police report which revealed that the culprits had been apprehended and would soon be charged to Court. Exco however noted the fact that the statements from the suspects did not indict the duo of Hon. Barr. Eni Uduma Chima and Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha of any complicity in the needless attack.

"The Committee is to have its inaugural meeting on Tuesday, 17th January, 2023 at Sen. Sonny Ogbuoji’s residence, Ebuwana Edda in Afikpo South LGA by 2pm.
