SECURITY; Ikwo Council Chair Seals Partnership With NHFSS

In his avowed determination to recreate a peaceful Ikwo, the Executive Chairman of Ikwo LGA, Barr. Sunday Nwankwo, this Tuesday, received members of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Services (NHFSS) Ikwo Local Government Area Command, who were on a familiarization visit in his Office at Onuebonyi Echara, the council headquarters.
Speaking during the visit, the Ikwo Commander, Mr Vincent Nwophu said, they were in the Chairman's office to congratulate him on his emergence as the executive chairmen of Ikwo Local Government and to seek partnership with his office in ensuring adequate policing of the forests in Ikwo. He said that NHFSS has been carrying out security Surveillance across the forests in the area, noting that, aside security  Surveillance, they have also been providing intelligence support to other security agencies in the state. He stated further that they are looking forward to a robust partnership with the council especially, as they anticipate the assent to the bill legalizing their operation by president Mohammed Buhari, having scaled through the second reading at the national Assembly.

On his part, patron, HRH Chief Dominic Ibor Aloh, expressed optimism that the partnership with the council will yield a desired results as the group has remained resolute in their service to their motherland. He encouraged them not to relent, but to rather continue in their good works
Responding, the chairman assured them of his support at all times, stressing that his office is prepared to work with all relevant bodies and agencies to provide the needed to the lives and property of every Ikwo person and residents alike.
