Ebonyi LP Inaugurates 2023 Campaign Council

The Labour party Gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi State, Architect Edward Nkwegu on Tuesday, inaugurated the party's campaign council at Grand Arena in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.



Inaugurating the campaign which has about ten directorates, Architect Edward Nkwegu enjoined members of campaign council known as 'Liberation Campaign Council (LCC) to work as a team to lead the party to victory, stressing that, "the obidient People have one objective, and the objective is to pull down the old  structure of intolerance, corruption,   unemployment, hunger, intimidation and  all the vices that was introduced by old and unpetriotic politicians in this country and enthrone a new order of peace, tolerance and wealth. That is the objectives of obidient movement", he stated.



He reiterated his desire to lead Ebonyi to path of progress through rapid industrialization and charged the liberation campaign Council to get to work immediately as the party is ready to provide them with necessary support to excel in the task.



Speaking during Inauguration, the Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Prince Ajah Nwabueze described Architect Edward Nkwegu as a competent hand for Ebonyi number top job and expressed optimism that his party, the Labour Party will emerge victorious in the forthcoming 2023 general election in the state.


Earlier in his remark, the Director General of the Liberation Campaign Council, Dr George Ukpai congratulated the members for making the list of the campaign Council assuring them of his desire to provide the right leadership for a successful outing. He enjoined members to get to work without delay to ensure a landslide victory for all the candidates of party at all levels in the 2023 polls.



In their good will messages, Chief Beke Orji, Chima Okike, Okechukwu Idenyi, Peter Ezeudu, among others expressed confident in the leadership of campaign council and that the gubernatorial candidate, Architect Nkwegu will emerge victorious as the next Governor of  Ebonyi state.



They equally eulogized Edward Nkwegu's examplary leadership qualities, sound character, doggedness in resources management, commitment to building humanity and capacity in championing healthy missions both in the private and public sector and vowed to mobilize both human and material resources in ensuring victory for labour party in the state.



Present during the inauguration were the Barr Anselm Enigwe, candidate for Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, Prince Ndubuisi Chibueze Agbo, candidate for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Pharmacist Tony Eko, of Afikpo North/South Constituency among other notable personalities.
