In recognition of his unprecedented developmental track records, Governor David Nweze Umahi has been nominated to receive a Distinguished Award for Project Innovation at the forthcoming Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) organized by The Best Strategic (TBS) Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The nomination was contained in a letter addressed to Governor Umahi by the Permanent Secretary (General Services Office) Office of the Secretary to the Federation, Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri which was made available to newsmen Saturday.
Part of the letter read:
"I write to respectfully inform you that you have been nominated to receive a Distinguished Award for Project Innovation at the forthcoming Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) organized by The Best Strategic (TBS) Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation."
According to statement from Mr Chooks Oko,
Special Assistant to the Governor,
Media and Strategy, the Award will be presented to Governor Umahi and other Distinguished Nigerians by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, on Friday, 21st October, 2022.
