The lingering leadership rift in tipper drivers Union has attracted the attention of the Special Security Consultant to Ebonyi State Government, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha.
Addressing the members of the union in his office on Monday, Emegha enjoined them to do everything within their means to minimize crises in their Union, stressing that, nothing is as rewarding aaa peace of mind.
Emegha, who is a seasoned security expert warned that Government will not watch any group or individual cause any breach of peace in the state in the napme of leadership tussle.
"I want to tell you that crises is an ill-wind that blows no one any good. when it starts, it will be hard to quench. I want to also tell you that the government of Engr David Umahi, who has laboured so hard to make Ebonyi State safe and peaceful and will not watch any group of individual or any person constitute crises in the state in the name of leadership tussle.
"I want to tell you all that God is the one that makes a leader and people only come to celebrate with whom God crowned a leader. Must it be you. Why can't you support any other person to succeed", he queried.
The state security consultant however, give the disputing groups two days to discuss within themselves and return for final resolution on the matter.
Similarly, the special security consultant to the state Government equally warned tricycle Union, 'NATAMORAS' and its affiliate union 'KMCF' to put its house in order or risk been disbanded. "I want to tell you one thing. You are still raising shoulders because crises has erupted. When it starts now, many of you go into hiding, but
mind you, the state Government will not watch any one cause crises in the state. If you people refused to put your house in order, Government will be left with no option than to disband your Union. So, go home and harmonize your leadership and come back next week with all the Executives of your Union for final resolution on the matter", he concluded.
