During His reign as the Town Union President of Ishiagu, there was a heavy rainfall which was accompanied with great storm. The storm damaged the only exam hall in the school. Sequel to that, the team for WAEC/NECO inspection said in their report that there is no way exam can hold in the school considering the level of damage done by the storm.
When the news get to Onwa Ishiagu, he couldn't sleep over it. He quickly mobilized resources for the reconstruction of the hall. This was done within few weeks and the team for inspection came and changed their report for good.
Moreso, Onwa considers it as an embarrassment if a school that is as big as Girls Secondary School Ishiagu will have only one hall for multipurpose activities. He asked the management of the school to show him a portion where another bigger and better hall can be erected for the institution. That which the principal did without delay. And Onwa responded with a huge and magnificent edifice that has stood the taste of time.
These and many more are the reasons why the good people of Ivo LGA are all saying that if the Council Chairman of Ivo LGA is given to Chief Ike Cletus Nga (Onwa Ishiagu), the town will wear a new look. He is a replica of Governor David Nweze Umahi in giving a society a facelift and ensuring that legacies are sustained.
