With BCM, New Electoral Law; Era of Ballot Box Snatching Are Over -- Prof Odoh

A frontline Gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance,(APGA) in Ebonyi State, Dr Ifeanyichukwu Odoh has said that with the invention of Biometric Data Capturing machine (BCM) and introduction of the new electoral law has brought to an end era of ballot box snatching.

Prof Odo  stated this on Tuesday, during a 3-man delegate Congress at state party Secretariat, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.


Odoh, Who contested for Ebonyi Governorship seat in the 2019 general election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noted that the introduction of Permanent Voter Card and the new electoral law that citizenry have the power to choose who rule them in the country in the upcoming general election.


He explained that there's need for a new leadership that's willing to invest on Ebonyians to increase the better welfare of the people in the state.

He emphasized that the situation of welfare of the people in the state  is alarming and need urgent attention with a government that would engender economic prosperity for their general interest.

The former Secretary to the state government lamented on the increase of poverty and fall of educational standard in the state and called on the people to support his candidature as to return the state to its lost glory.

"If you go round the state, you will see that people are not looking fresh because there's true poverty and hunger in the land".

"We need to invest in our people. We must begin to invest in our people, to create opportunity for our people to look healthier; look after themselves, be able to train their children, pay their school fees because they've future.

"Right now, the future here is blink. I had interview with teachers across the state and our enrollment I found out has dropped more than seventy percent, parents can no longer pay school fees because of the harassment, levies among report cards and others posed on them to pay.

"We don't have job here outside hotels and filling stations and there's need to immediately start doing things that will engender economic prosperity for our people".
