Nwifuru Emerges Ebonyi APC Guber Candidate

Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress APC', Gubernatorial election for Ebonyi State.

Declaring the results of the election, the chairman of the electoral pannel, Prof Emmanuel Adebayo Kehinde said, Mr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru pulled the total number of 743 to defeat other four aspirants to emerge winner of the election. while his distant rival, Mrs Rosemary Ofoke Nwogbaga pulled 63 votes.

Senator Julius Ucha come distant third with 22 votes while Engr Elias Nwalem Mbam and Architect Edward Nkwegu gannered 10 and 8 votes respectively.

The APC primary election held on Thursday, 26th May 2022, at Pa Ngele Oruta township stadium has 855 delegates from the 171 electoral wards in the state.

The chairman of the electoral pannel, Prof Emmanuel Adebayo Kehinde applauded the peaceful conduct of the primary and thanked Ebonyi people for the maturity displayed during the election.
