Ebubeagu Better Equipped In Disaster Management, Other Areas -- Commander Ujor

Ebonyi state Commander of South East Security outfit, 'Ebubeagu', Commander Friday Ujor said, the security outfit is now better equipped to handle any form of security emergencies in the state.

Commander Ujor made this known in his office, while chatting with journalist after a- 3day intesive training for the members of Ebubeagu in the state.

He expressed optimism that the 'train the trainer', training will bring out the best in the operatives of Ebubeagu.
The 3days training, which has twenty officers, one from the 13 LGAs and seven from the Urban Command, featured physical fitness training, administering of first aid to victims of crime and accident, intelligence gathering among others.

Addressing the participants, the Commissioner of police, Ebonyi State, CP Aliyu Garba, represented by ACP Ajose Mohammed, Area Commander, Abakaliki, said the training was an awesome one, stressing that the knowledge gannered will assist participants in the discharge of their duty. He urged them to make good use of the training and equally share the knowledge to their colleagues who are not opportuned to be present in the training exercise.

He thanked the facilitators for putting up such a wonderful training.
Earlier, the Ebonyi State special security Consultant, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, welcome the facilitators of the training and the Red Cross Society for counting Ebubeagu personnel worthy of partaking in such high powered programs. He enjoined the participants to put in their best as such opportunity does not come regularly.

One of the participant in the program and one of DISCO commanders in the Urban, Mr Ejike Nweke, expressed joy over the training and promised to put the knowledge gained to good use and equally, train his DISCO members..

Highlight of the training was presentation of first aid kit and other items to the participants by the facilitators.
