It was a moment of joy and jubilation as the Honorable Member representing the good people of Ohaukwu South Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon. Chinedu Onah dedicated his first son Prince, Chidindu Chinedu Onah to God at the Methodist Church, Mile50, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Onah, a first time honorable member in the State House of Assembly was also on that event adopted for second term in office by the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) zone B led by Comrade Nwuruku Olisa Alfred for his leadership prowess.
Speaking at the event, the lawmaker who was highly elated, expressed gratitude to the almighty God for the gift of the child in his family and congratulated the attendees for celebrating with him,while praying God to bless them in hundredfold.
Onah, who attributed birth of the child as the good work of God to his family, encouraged every family to always anchor their faith in God despite all odds as God does not disappoint his own people.
He appreciated the leadership of NANS for standing by him in his political pursuit and assured them of his total support at all times.
Also speaking, the Governor of Ebonyi State Engr. David Umahi represented by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural resources Hon. Ogodoali Nome, the speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon. Francis Nwifuru represented by the leader of the House Hon. Victor Chukwu and the wife of the Vice Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo Dr. Chinyere Elom, all poured an encomiums to God for the gift of Master Chidindu to the Onah's family.
They encouraged parents of the child to as a matter of priority train him in the fear God in his infant stage to avoid being influenced by earthly things when he grows up.
Earlier, the chairman of the occasion Hon. Sunday Inyima, the Commissioner for Market development Pst. Eze Nwachukwu and the special assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Inter party and labour matters Comrade Jennifer Nwafor, advised parents of the child to continue training their children in the Christendom and also advised those still seeking for the fruit of womb to keep trusting God as he would answer them one day.
But, On the endorsement of Hon. Onah for second term in office, the NANS coordinator zone B Comrade Nwuruku Olisa Alfred hinted they endorsed Hon. Chinedu Onah because of his achievements in bringing the dividends of good leadership to his people, and the youths in particular.
According to him "we are here to support him and to encourage him to continue with his good works, in him, his Constituency has experienced Democratic leadership,
“we are endorsing him for assisting our vulnerable students with school fees, for giving students a sense of belonging, and various development in his Constituency”. he added
He called on youths that are aspiring for political positions in the State to emulate the good virtues of Hon Chinedu Ona and others who have distinguished themselves as quality leaders.
The child was dedicated to God at Methodist church, Mile 50, Abakaliki by Professor Ulu Ogbonnaya.
The event attracted distinguished personalities from all walks of life including the Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, while the attendees were entertained by Christian music by different gospel singers.
