Rep Ogah Tasks Media Practitioners On Unity, Love

Members of  Association of Ikwo Noyo Media Practitioners (AIMP) has been advised to make unity and love for each other, their watch word.

The advice was handed down to them on Sunday by the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON, at his Abakaiki home during a familiarization visit to him by the new leadership and some members of the Association.

Comrade Ogah warned members against engaging in act sabotaging each other as such will whittle the growth of the Association. 

He urged them to come up with programs that will promote the cultural heritage of Ikwo, noting that if people are aware of what the culture abhors, it will help in reducing the violence and insecurity in the area.

He said, "I want to tell you people, if you're united you will go higher. Help yourselves, don't sabotage each other. Be committed. When people sees that you're committed they will come to partner with you.  I will support you people in any way I can".

He stated further, "always be bold to say the truth at all times. If you see where I am not doing well, be bold enough to come to me and tell me and I'll change", he concluded.

Earlier in his speech, the National President of Ikwo Noyo Media Practitioners, Comrade Samuel Nwanchor said, the essence of the visit was to present the new Executives of the Association to him and equally seek his assistant in carrying out some of the programs of the Association Such as the Ikwo dialectical radio program  "ODULENMA IKWO" , the annual media summit among others.

Comrade Samuel Nwanchor commeded the Federal law maker for his quality representation and assured him of the support of the Association in the area coverage and publicizing of his legislative business.

On his part, the pioneer president, Comrade Israel Ekene Mbam assured him that the Association will do  everything within her reach to promote those things that unite Ikwo. He applauded him for his all-inclusive and open door leadership style.
