Member representing Ishielu South in Ebonyi state House of Assembly and committee chairman on information, Hon Chukwu Arinze Lucas, Wednesday lauded Engr David Umahi for the victory at the Appellate court and assured him of his total support as he vigorously purse his presidential ambition.
Chukwu pledged the allegiance while interacting with newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.
According to the state assembly member, the state governor had done alot with the meager resources available in Ebonyi state and as a man with vision if given support will return the country to it's lost glory.
"So far so good, His Excellency the governor of Ebonyi state has done beyond imagination as he has touched every sectors and departments.
"We will not take our eyes away from the fact that those things people think it can't be achieved have become reality courtesy of the workaholic governor.
"Alot have been done including roads, the airport that's almost on completion, the international market, world class shopping mall and countless other projects.
The Lawmaker while allaying Umahi's achievements to his constituency said, his people have tasted the true dividends of democracy since the beginning of the administration.
He appreciated the people of Ishielu south for their support to ensuring that peace is enthroned in the area.
"In my constituency,we are proud to have the Agba bridge completed, road from Ntezi to Agba fully dualized, and very soon, the road from Eziullo to Ezzagu will commence.
"So, His Excellency's good work did not start and end in urban but also to rural communities which my community is proud of.
He added, 'If you look at the situation of security in Ishielu before the emergence of His Excellency you will recall that my people were faced with alot of security threat but today, every Ishielu man sleep in his home with their two eyes closed.
"In my community, we have this understanding that anything that would bring crisis, we don't allow it linger to the following day. We quickly call on our youths and elders in such a situation to see the need for peace because without peace you can't have meaningful development in any Community.
While speaking on the chance of returning to the house in the forthcoming election, Hon Chukwu said that he was still consulting his people who have the right to send him back.
He further commended the leadership of the state All Progressives Congress (APC) and assured the party of his total support to making sure they succeed in the forthcoming election.
"There are people who put me where I am and they are my constituents who after reviewing my performance would decide whether I am going back or not and for they're decider of who will represent them and the consultation is ongoing which if they asked me to go back will do.
"As concern giving His Excellency our support, it is not negotiable since we are assuring him our hundred percent support and that has reflected by our efforts to making sure every members of my constituency get their voters card and i have been supportive by providing all the necessary logistics including feeding and transportation to make sure they registered as to give our governor massive votes.
"The All Progressives Congress, APC, being led by His Excellency, Engr David Umahi and the state chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha have done marvellously well to ensure that the party win massively in the forthcoming general election and assure them not to loose focus that our people at the rural areas are with them due to the evidence filled government they are witnessing and will ensure the party succeeds come 2023.
