Appeal Court Ruling On Defection: Senator Ucha Lauds Judiciary

A prominent leader of the ruling APC in Ebonyi State, Distinguished Senator Julius Ali Ucha(a k.a UCHA MY MAN), has hailed the judiciary in Nigeria, for once again demonstrating the truism that the judiciary is the beacon of hope in any democratic society.

Sen. Ucha, a former two times Senator in Ebonyi State, who few days ago declared his intention to contest the Governorship seat of Ebonyi State on the platform of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), was reacting to the judgement of the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal in the case of the sacking of Governor David Nweze Umahi and his Deputy Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
It should be noted that Justice Ekwo last month sacked His Excellency Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi and his Deputy Dr. Kelechi Igwe for defecting to the APC from the PDP.

Meanwhile, highly dissatisfied with the High Court decision. Chief Umahi and his Deputy approached the Appellate court to seek redress. Subsequently, the Appeal Court Enugu Division today set aside the judgement of the Abuja Federal High Court.

Reacting through his Media Team. Sen. Julius Ucha applauded the courage of the learned Justices of the Appeal Court in nipping in the board, such a strange judgement from the lower Court.
JAU noted that with this judgement, the Court of Appeal has restored the unwavering confidence of Nigerians, in the judiciary.

The pioneer Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, heartily congratulates His Excellencies Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi and his Deputy Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe for this sweet victory.

Sen. Ucha said with this victory every distractions placed on the way of the Executive Governor and His Deputy had been removed.
