Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha on Friday, expressed optimism that the state Governor, Engr David Umahi, will not only pick the ticket of the party as its presidential flag bearer, but will win the 2023 presidential election.
Chief Emegha made this known while addressing stakeholders and party supporters during a heroic welcome reception given to him on his return from Abuja after his Inauguration.
The state party Chairman said that Governor Umahi is the most qualified candidate to fly the party's presidential flag come 2023 election.
He said that the party is large enough to accommodate all who wants to join the party, assuring of his readiness to uphold the unity, peace and internal Democratic principles already enthroned in the party.
“Ebonyi State is not one of the states you will be doubting will win the general election. Even PDP, which is the opposition party, will still vote for APC in Ebonyi State because of the achievements of the governor.
“The person that will take over will only maintain the projects. I want to let you know that I am back. Woe unto me if the party fails in Ebonyi.
“I am very confident with what I am seeing. People are seeing me as a Villa boy. Something great will happen. I have so much confidence that he will fly the party’s flag and eventually emerge as president in 2023.
“We have never had any parallel congress in Ebonyi State, you all witness to It. The man that was calling himself Chairman, I don't know if he's even a member of our party, but our party is large enough to accommodate him. We have a lot of jobs in our Secretariat, we can offer him a job", he said.
