The Committee on Solid Minerals on Tuesday, continued its Sensitization tour to Ohaozara LGA to sensitize the people on the rules guiding mining activities in Ebonyi State.
Speaking at Obiozara the Head Quarters of Ohaozara LGA, the SA on Solid Minerals Hon. Ozoemena Njoku expressed his profound gratitude toward the father of the state His Excellency Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi for his great political strides that has led to the transformation of Ebonyi State to an enviable level today. He also applauded the Executive Chairman Ohaozara LGA Hon. Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku who was represented by her vice, for her efforts in developing Ohaozara.
"The Council Chairman has done wonderfully well. Thank God the permanent secretary and the president women in minning who are not from ohaozara have said that before me and we are happy with her political sagacity".
"We have come to let our people know the rules guiding mining in the state so that no one will fall victim" Njoku said.
The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Solid Minerals Deacon Elijah O. Ituma went on to explain in details the laws as enumerated by the SA and further advised the people to always abide by these rules for the good of all of us in the state.
The Head of Personnel Management (HPM) Mrs. Obike appreciated the committee for this wonderful job and also charge the people of Ohaozara to always follow the due process in carrying out their mining activities, insisting that Ohaozara people are solidly behind the present administration.
