The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has described the state Governor, Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi as a detribalized Nigeria and well respected Igbo leader, who possess all it takes to lead the country, Nigeria to prosperous, united and greater heights.
Emegha while chatting with Newsmen in Abakaliki said, Governor Umahi has demonstrated high level of commitment to governance in Ebonyi State and will replicate same in all parts of the country, if opportunity to serve Nigeria is provided for him.
Emegha said, "Dave Umahi is one of the foremost and respected Igbo leaders with passion for a united Nigeria. He has demonstrated his penchant for Unity of Nigeria through appointment of various ethics nationalities living in Ebonyi State into his Government".
“If given the opportunity, Umahi has the capacity to lead Nigeria to greater heights,” he added.
Governor David Umahi, he said, has been an advocate of the Igbo Presidency, and remains one of the leading voices in the whole of Southeast Nigeria due to his Leadership and outstanding performance in governance.
Chief Emegha emphasized that every Igbo person is looking forward to producing a President from the South-East, as it will help address the rising scourge of Insecurity in the region, and according to him, Governor David Umahi has all it takes to take up the mantle.
He urged all Igbo leaders, sons and daughters both at home and in diaspora to support the quest for Nigeria president of Igbo extraction, stressing that producing an Igbo president is a task every true Igbo indigene must key into, as such will guarantee peace and bring prosperity to Nigeria.
“An Igbo president will bring prosperity to Nigeria, because the Igbo man or woman has the capacity for business and investment in areas outside their homeland”, he said.
The state APC Chairman, called on all other ethics nationalities in the country to support the Igbo presidency come 2023 in spirit of equity, fair play and social justice.
He hinted that Governor David Umahi's achievements in Ebonyi State has given him edge among other intending aspirants in the zone and urged all to que behind him for a better and prosperous Nigeria.
