Ebonyi APC Chairman Elect Commences "Thank You Tour"

...Says Ugwu Iyere Bridge A Huge Relief
The Chairman-elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has commenced what he captioned "Thank You Tour" with the primary aim of appreciating the people for their love and support during the ward, local government and state congresses.

While expressing his unreserved gratitude to the people of Edda in Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state, Chief Emegha said they did not only inspire him to go into the contest but they stood firmly and ensured that every ballot counted despite the fact that he had an opponent who also came from the area.

"I lack words to appreciate each and everyone of you for the massive support you gave me either directly or indirectly during the state congress that gave me an edge over my contender whom I defeated with a very wide margin. I thought it wise and most appropriate to commence this visit from my own locality because of the popular adage which says and i quote "charity begins at home".

While distributing the over one thousand pieces of wrappers among other valuables to the indigent women, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha promised not to disappoint them by living up to his responsibilities as a party Chairman of the most peaceful political movement in Nigeria and a native of Edda, an enclave known for hard work, discipline, integrity and honesty over the years. He emphasized that the women prayerfully supported his victory, hence his decision to  complement the efforts of the wife of the governor, Chief Mrs Rachael Umahi in putting smiles in the faces of women and other vulnerable groups.

Chief Emegha also used the opportunity to appreciate the state governor,  Chief David Nweze Umahi for the incredible role he played before, during and after congresses, stressing that he deserves more accolades hence the need for the people to continue to support his administration for more developmental strides.

The Chairman-elect who commended the state Governor for his numerous achievements in the area noted that the Ugwu Iyere bridge in Afikpo South council area is one project that has brought a huge relief to the people and other commuters who ply the road. He emphasized that when the project is fully commissioned, road crashes will be drastically reduced as life expectancy and economic activities of the people blessed by nature with a unique topography will automatically increase.

Chief Emegha made also explained that the governor has approved the construction of Ekoli-Letu-Owutu and renovated primary schools in the area to make life more meaningful to the people

"For the people of Afikpo and it's environs,  the Ugwu Iyere bridge is the most strategic project of His Excellency, the Governor, Engr Chief Apostle David Umahi because our nightmare is gone. Before he came on board, we never knew that this can be achieved. Who among you has ever thought that a road can pass through this hill that is very sloppy and undulating? Honestly, this is another wonder of the Governor whom I describe as a genius and a strategic planner.
"Recently,  the governor inquired from the members of his cabinet from Afikpo South extraction to show him the road he would construct for them and we unanimously said Ekoli-Letu-Owutu road and today it has been approved for construction.  Your Excellency, we cannot thank you enough but may the good Lord bless you, her Excellency, our compassionate mother, the entire and good people of the state".

Some of the beneficiaries including  Mercy Osiaja and Beatrice Orji thanked Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha for his benevolence and thoughtfullness, noting that he is an illustrious son of Edda who will always have their support whenever the need arises.

Meanwhile, Chief Emegha also paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the chairman, traditional Rulers councils Afikpo South Local Government Area, Eze Charles Azuanya and his cabinet members to also appreciated their contributions to his emergency as the Chairman-elect of the APC in the state.

Deeply pleased with the honour, they recall with nostalgia how Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha has in different fronts assisted the people and promised to always work hand in glove with him at achieving the changed agenda of the Governor both at the state and national levels.
