Moment of glitz and glamour as Texas Confectioneries opened for business

It was full of fun as friends, neighbours, well wishers, associates and indeed members of the public, gathered at Nkaliki Unuphu village in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State to witness the opening ceremony of TEXAS Confectioneries, which was established by a true son of the soil, Hon. Ogbonna Ikechukwu Eli.

The opening ceremony which was officiated by the Parish Priest, Christ the King Parish (CKP) Nkaliki, Rev. Fr. Anthony Aja, was used to call on all Ebonyians, both at home and in diaspora to always bring their investments home, as it would help in creating job opportunities for the indigenous people, and as such reduce unemployment and social vices especially among the youths.



In their goodwill messages, some of the personalities who disclosed their feelings to the press during the opening ceremony, including the Executive Chairman, Abakaliki Local Government Council, Hon. Emmanuel Nwangele, the Chairman Nkaliki Unuphu, Hon. Emerike Chinedu, EBBC Board member, Hon. Sunny B. Akpagu and a staff of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mr. Izuinya Thomas, commended the host, Hon. Ogbonna Ikechukwu Eli, for his wise decision to invest in his home town, describing the move as a giant stride and wake-up call to others.


Also speaking, the APC Chairman, Ohaozara Local Government who doubles as the National Organizing Secretary, Ebonyi State University Alumni Association, Hon. Nnachi Okoro, and Hon. Itumo Amechi, noted that the taste of the dishes, bakeries and other delicacies available at the eatery was the first of its kind in Abakaliki capital city, and promised of their patronage whenever the need arises.

Earlier, the Chairman of the ceremony, Hon. Emmanuel Ede, observed that some businesses in the society had failed or collapsed due to poor management, and advised the owner to sustain the legacy by encouraging expertize in various areas of the business establishment, and to also ensure good relationship with the customers.

In his remarks, the CEO of the Confectioneries,  expressed gratitude to all the invitees and lovers of good deeds who came out enmasse to support and as well observe the inauguration ceremony, and promised never to backslide from the standard which they had already been known and commended for, while praying for God's blessings upon his supporters and good wishers for their show of love.
