Ebonyi APC stands tall for Umahi, campaigns for crime free state

In Ebonyi State, the members of All Progressives Congress (APC) has embarked on a campaign for a-crime-free state in their support for the administration of Governor David Nweze Umahi.

The rally held on Saturday in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the State was a part of supporting the efforts of Governor Umahi towards getting stable the security of the state.




Governor Umahi represented by the State Commissioner for Project Monitoring, Mr Ezeali Ukie-Oluchukwu and other personalities who spoke during the event made the disclosure.


The representative of the governor expressed joy over the large turnout of the party members during the rally.


“I am highly excited that even at the Local Government levels, people are organizing this important security rally in support of governor’s efforts to curb Crime entirely in the State," he said.

Also, the Deputy Leader of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Kingsley Ikoro said that the governor was proactive in terms of the security and welfare of the Ebonyi citizens.

“This rally was organised to support His Excellency the Governor in all he has been doing security-wise and to appreciate him for all the ongoing and completed infrastructures in Afikpo North,” Ikoro said.

He advised the general public to emulate Governor Umahi’s unprecedented empowerment and leadership skills. 


Further, the State  APC Youth Leader, Comrade Ogochukwu Elem also expressed joy over the level of decorum and decency of the rally.

“The Governor of the State Engr David Umahi has made Ebonyi the most peaceful and hospitable State across the country, courtesy of All Progressive Congress APC,” Elem stated.

On his part, the APC Zonal Chairman of Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone,  Mr John Nwankata commended the people of the Council for organizing such a peaceful rally.


 “The rally is to ensure that Ebonyi State remains peaceful at all times. 


"Our youths should be patient enough as His Excellency the Governor will soon empower them in various capacities,” Nwankata said.


The Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Barrister Oby Oko Enyim, while addressing Journalists charged people in authority to always accommodate others most especially the less privileged in the society.


She however, appreciated all and sundry who honoured the event.
