Benue herders' attack, over 116 Izhi people dead

At least 116 people from Nwori Nduobashi, one of Izhi communities in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State have been reportedly dead following the merciless attack, maiming and killing by the suspected Fulani herdsmen in the recent time.


This is was made known on Monday, when the Izhi Crisis Management Committee visited the community to share relief materials including cash, food, clothes and other items to the affected victims in the area.


Speakers during the visit including the Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga, the President of Oha Izhi clan and the Traditional Ruler of Nkaleke Echara Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Sunday N. Oketa,  the Town Union President of Ndiegu Ishieke Community, Mr Joe Nwidebia commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Umahi for his prompt intervention to ensure the situation was quelled.
