Architect Dr. Edward Okereke Nkwegu (EDON), a stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has advised the party to adopt a democratic process which will give those at the grassroot level an access to choose their leaders in the forthcoming congress.

EDON gave this advice on Monday while interacting with newsmen during the meeting of the Party's State Working Committee and other Stakeholders at the Christian Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki.

"My advice is that the Congress should be open, to enable the people at the grassroot level to choose their party leaders and this will serve as the best way to strengthen the peace and unity of our great party, APC,"

He expressed joy over the peaceful conduct of the meeting, saying with the kind of the leadership in the state, the up coming APC Congress would be the most democratic oriented.

He commended Governor David Umahi for uniting the  APC members in Ebonyi, stressing that if all the party faithfuls sustain the tempo, the unity and progress of the party would be more strengthened.
