Following the forthcoming APC Congress in Ebonyi State, the people of Abakaliki Local Government Council, are on top gear to fast track and as well harmonize activities commemorating the event.
The APC Stalwarts and the party faithfuls were assembled in their numbers this morning at Nkaliki, the Council Headquarters to put heads together and brainstorm on how to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of the Congress, both at the state and the local government level.
The people who reaffirmed the vote of confidence passed on the State Governor, Engr. Apostle David Nweze Umahi, by the state APC members, also commended the grandmaster of infrastructure on his ability to unite the APC family in Ebonyi State, adding that his good works would always distinguish him among his peers, and prayed God to bless him and his family, while hoping for better Nigeria in 2023 as the most credible candidate for presidential seat.
The major issues discussed in the meeting include: the modus of purchasing the party's interest forms, selection of a 3 man electoral panel/5 delegates from each of the 14 Wards of Abakaliki L.G.A for the upcoming Congress, preparation for the commencement of census by the officials of the National Population Commission (NPC), among others.
While officiating the meeting, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Emmanuel Nwangele, charged all the members of the party to shun imposition of candidates and to carry everybody along as earlier directed by His Excellency, the Governor and leader of the party in the state.
