BREAKING: Governor Umahi appoints 11 new aides

Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has made a newly appointment of 11 aides into various offices and ministries.

 Chief Kenneth Igwe Ugbala, the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner made the announcement, Tuesday, in Abakaliki.


Ugbala said that Governor Umahi has approved the appointment of Chief Emmanuel Obasi as the Principal Secretary to the Governor and Ogbuefi Enekwachi Akpa – Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Local Government and Rural Development.

Others newly appointed included Prince Sunday Ugwuocha – Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Environment, Jennifer Adibe Nwafor – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Labour Matters, Amauche Otunta Godwin – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor, Government House, Mrs Patience Offor-Okorie – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor, Her Excellency’s Office, Comrade Gideon Onwe – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Student Affairs, Mr Simon Anyigor – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Education, Engr. Felix Otta – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Ring Road Project, Engr. Obinna Ibaki – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Airport Project and Mr Onyeabor Ngene – Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Special Duties.

The SSG said that the new appointees will be inaugurated on Wednesday, 30th June, 2021 in the Executive Council Chamber, Old Government House, Abakaliki at 2.00pm prompt.
