Prayer Summit: Nwogbaga charges Ebonyi Council people on praying for peace, harmony across nation

The Executive Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga has charged her council people to be committed in the statewide fasting and prayer.



Mrs Nwogbaga also charged the council people on praying for peace and harmony across the nation.
She made this call on Saturday, 1st May, 2021 while declaring open, a 7-day fasting and prayer summit against insecurity in the country, as directed by Chief David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State.


NATIONAL PANEL reports that the flag off of the prayer summit witnessed a large turnout of the council people especially the government functionaries to seek the face of God for peace and unity in Ebonyi State, Ebonyi Local government and Nigeria at Large.

While declaring open the one week prayer and fasting in the local government, Nwogbaga charged the people to always pray for the returning of peace and harmony in every part of the nation.


She further said that the situation on ground within the country can only get better through prayers, described this as what made her, deemed it fit in partnering with Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, to ensure the one week prayer records successful outing.

She also thanked the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Umahi for all the measures put in place to bring a lasting peace in the state, and prayed for God to keep sustaining his life.

The prayer which took place at the council headquarters, ugbodo was organized by the Christian Associarion of Nigeria, CAN, Ebonyi LG chapter through the sponsorship of the Council Chairman's office.

The Prayer summit since its commencement at the council headquarters has been recording en-mass attendance including the Council Boss, Councillors, Supervisors, all the political officeholders, stakeholders and other people from the area.

They have been praying together for the sustenance of peace and unity among them in the area and in other parts of the state.

They therefore, thanked the Council Chairman for all dividends of democracy already achieved since assumed power, praying God to inspire her to do more before bowing out from her current office.
