The sons and daughters of Ikwo Noyo Clan on Friday commended Governor David Nweze Umahi's developmental strides alongside his proactive approach to issues of insecurity in Ebonyi State.
The people who included the immediate past governor of the state, Chief Martins Nwanchor Elechi, Governor Umahi's Deputy, Chief Kelechi Igwe, among well meaning sons and daughters of the clan made the commendation during a security meeting with Governor Umahi at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki.
While presenting the clan's 7-point communique, the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Chief Steve Orogwu lauded Umahi for his massive transformation ongoing in Ebonyi State especially the road construction in Ikwo land.
"That Ikwo Nnoyo Clan immensely appreciates and commends the practical determination of the Governor to transform Ebonyi State through sustainable infrastructural development of the State in general and Ikwo Nnoyo in particular especially with the construction of the Abakaliki-FUNAI road, the Amagu and Enyibichiri roads and the proposed ring road which transverses major parts of Ikwo. Ikwo Nnoyo commends the resolve of the Governor and endorses the various measures being taken by the State Government to ensure the security of lives and property in Ebonyi State." 
The clan condemned the pockets of hostilities in parts of the state and urged all and sundry to toe the line of peace.
"The clan condemns the spate of unprovoked and unjustifiable attacks on security agents, public facilities and innocent citizens and residents of Ebonyi State. 
"The clan condemns the unwarranted and distractive media and idle attacks on the person and productive policies of His Excellency our dear Governor.
"The clan will engage all its indigenes and residents particularly the youths to desist from acts and or comments that are capable of instilling or promoting insecurity or any form of violence in the State"
The clan expressed optimism that Governor Umahi in his capacity would take Ebonyi State to the highest level of development.
The people therefore, pledged to redouble their support to the present administration in the state.
