By Agatha Eze
Chief Sylvester Ogbaga, the Member representing Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency has debunked speculations that he is campaigning for the governorship position in the state and  however, said it is not time for campaigns, but to focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

He stated this while briefing newsmen after his confernment by Catholic Men Organization (CMO) as the Ambassador of St. Theresa Cathedral, Abakaliki Diocese.

He said it is too early to begin discussing about the electioneering year's events and maintained that, it is only God who knows his plan.

"It is not the right time to start campaigning, and I have not even consulted God, though He knows what is in my mind.

"At the right time, I should tell everybody, but I have to tell God first, I am seeking the face of God," he said.

He enjoined christians to engage in active politics in order to fuse their godliness into governance, thereby delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
NATIONAL PANEL reports that Chief Ogbaga, and his wife, Mrs Agnes Sylvester Ogbaga, were on Sunday, conferred with the awards of Ambassador and patroness by the Catholic Men Organization (CMO) of St. Theresa's Cathedral, Catholic Church of Abakaliki Diocese.

The Green Chambers Lawmaker expressed joy over the recognition, and described his award as a gift from God.

He further urged Christians to remain faithful in God for a good success.
He said: "No man's gift can be compared with God's gift. This award is from the altar of God, and I'm overwhelmed and happy, it's challenging, but I am sure, with God, all things are possible.

"So many people believe that you cannot be a politician or get into success without looking unto other gods, but I have failed them, it's a challenge but I will prove to them that God can do all things, when you are upright in what you are doing, and that will keep me going," he said.

Our Correspondent gathered the presence of Senator Sylvester Nguji Ngele who was the former Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Comrade Chinedu Ogah - Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, and other high personalities who described the awards given to Ogbaga and his wife as a well deserving one.
