The Chairman of Special Public Works, Ebonyi State who is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EDON Nigeria Limited, a conglomerate of EDON group of Companies, Architect Edward Nkwegu has fetéd with the muslim Community in Ebonyi State in the spirit of the Sallah celebration.
Speaking in a get-together he organized for his Muslim supporters at the Nkwegu Ugbala Grand Arena Abakaliki, Architect Nkwegu said the event which he hosts annually is to give people of the other faith a sense of belonging during their time of merriment.
He commended the core muslims for living in peace with their host Communities and appealed to them to prevail on their brothers to stop further attacks on innocent Ebonyians.
Architect Nkwegu while assuring the Muslim of level playing ground if they remain law abiding, enjoined them to use the period of Sallah celebration to pray for the peace and unity of Ebonyi State and Nigeria in general.
Responding, people of the Muslim Community commended Architect Nkwegu for his generosity and pledged to continue to abide by the laws of the land.
EDON and his team later paid Sallah visit to the Chairman of Ebonyi State Muslim Pilgrims Commission, Alhaji Haruna Ajah where he wished them peaceful celebration with a charge to further unify Nigeria with prayers.
