Build family where people can come to emulate their good virtues - RMAFC Boss

The Chairman Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission RMAFC, Chief Elias Mbam on Saturday urged every family to always live in peace and love for a better society, where economic development and progress will continue to thrive.


Chief Mbam gave this advice during the Wedding ceremony of Pharmacist Nkwegu Geraldine, the daughter of Arch. Edward Nkwegu  and  Pharmacist Ihebinandu Emmanuel in  Izzi Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.

The RMAFC Chairman noted that the crisis all over the world today is as a result of broken homes which has degenerated to society level.

"I urge the newly wedded couple to build a family where people can always come to emulate their good virtues. 

"We are facing insecurity today because many homes are not in order. Good family will bring good society and peaceful nation," Mbam hinted.

During the sermon, the officiating Priest, Reverend Father Philip Chidebelu of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish Azuebonyi said marriage is all about love.

"Love is the greatest instrument to be used in every marriage.

"Love is Patience, kind, not resentful, forgiving and  above all endures all sins," Philip said.

The Chairman of the Occasion, Chief Gbazuagu Gbazuagu also advised the couple to hold unto God for successful marriage.

The parent of bride, Architect Edward Nkwegu gave his fatherly blessings to the couple.


Recall that the occasion was honoured by Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State, ably represented by Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

The governor prayed God to bless the new home.

Also, the Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Chief  Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga and numerous others prayed for the constant success of the marriage.
