Two Ebonyi Journalists take heartthrobs to alter on same day

Twin brothers in 'Pen Profession' who are also the full fledge members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ebonyi State Chapter on  Saturday took their heatthrobs to the alter of God Almighty.

One of the newly wedded Journalists, Comrade Comrade Boniface Nwankwo, a Catholican,  is a staff of Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation, EBBC.

Mr. Nwankwo held his white wedding reception at Bishop Macgettrick, Pastoral Centre, Abakalik town after the official mass service at the same place. His wife is former Miss Maria Erugba.

Nwankwo's wedding mate who is a Presbyterian and the Publisher/Managing Editor of the People's Guide Newspapers, Comrade Israel Ekene Mbam held his own wedding reception at the Women Development Centre, WDC, Abakaliki town.

Mr Mbam's official mass service for the wedding was held at PCN Suncity, Azugwu in Abakaliki, the state capital. His wife is former Miss Happiness Ukom.


The wedding ceremonies were colourful following the presence of the government functionaries from all levels, business moguls and the Ebonyi State Chapter of NUJ under the Chairmanship of Comrade Tony Nwizi, his Vice, Comrade Benjamin Nworie, the Secretary, Comrade Nnamdi Akpa, avalanche members and guests who honoured the events.


NATIONAL PANEL reports that the duo are promising veterans in the media world, who have been using their profession to reshape the society with developmental reportages, particularly Ebonyi State.


Meanwhile, the members of the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria, OMPAN, Ebonyi State Chapter under the caretaker leadership of Comrade Comrade Celestine  Okeh have rejoiced and congratulated their member, Comrade Israel Ekene Mbam for the great feat.
OMPAN also extended heart of gratitude to its colleague in the 'Pen Profession', Comrade Boniface Nwankwo, commending his gallant outing by taking his heatthrob to the alter of God.

The association therefore, wished the two families a blissful union.
