The Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi State, CP Garba Aliyu has confirmed the reopening of Enugu- Abakaliki express way which was blocked by Youths as a result of land disputes between Ezillo and Iyonu Communities.
Mr Garba stated this in an interview on how the Command was able to restore peace and order in the communities.
The Police Commissioner assured members of public of their safety as the ply the road.
"The road is now accessible to the members of public, as I talk to you Officer and men of Nigeria Police, Ebonyi State Command has tried a lot in restoring peace and order in the area. Everywhere is calm and movement has commenced on the road". Mr Garba said.
He called on Communities in Ebonyi State to always be at peace and avoid taking laws into their hands.
The CP thanked his Officers and men for the success record they made in the course of restoring peace.
