Umahi swears in 6 newly appointed aides

Governor David Umahi today sworn in his newly appointed 6 aides into office at the Exco-Chambers, Old Government House, Abakaliki.


The newly sworn in aides included Nnenna Umahi - Personal Assistant to the Governor, Mr Maxwell Umahi - Special Assistant on Solar light, Emmanuel Nwangbo - Special Assistant on Streetlight, Simon Anyigor - Special Assistant on Governor's Lodge, Isaiah Eze - Special Assistant on Transportation and Eze Ikechukwu - Special Assistant on Internal Security.


In his remark, Umahi lamented that it is only 20 per cent of his appointees are fully committed to duties.

However, the governor charged the newly sworn in aides to live up to the expectations or risk sacking within one month if under-performed.


He also announced the immediate appointment of all the PDP Chairmen and Secretaries at the council levels, who have already defected into the All Progressives Congress, APC, as his Special Technical Assistants.

He assured other executives at the council level and the ward officials of PDP who have already joined APC of his full accommodation in his government.
