NDE Special Public Work Program launched in Ohaozara LGA

The Executive Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku on Wednesday flagged off the Federal Government's National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Special Public Work Programme at the council headquarters, Obiozara. 


Iyioku explained that the programme centered on setting up a workforce of dedicated and pragmatic individuals who would ensure the environmental sanitation and cleanliness of the council areas daily.

He also noted that the programme would last for three (3) months across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.


 Further, Princess Iyioku admonished the participants to take the opportunity serious and do the work with their heart to earn the trust reposed on them.

She charged supervisors in charge of the programme to be committed in their work through out the period allotted to them.

The NDE participants were presented with tools such as brooms, cutlass, shovel, rake among others to ensure proper sanitation in their primary place of assignments.
