Ebonyi trader shot dead in his shop

A trader, Mr. Sunday Nwambam popularly known as Ishieke has been reportedly shot dead by unknown hoodlums.

Sunday Nwambam was shot dead while inside his shop, opposite his father's compound by Nwambara junction along Mile 4-Ishieke road (old Abakaliki-Enugu express way).

Our source, Sunday Iteshi said, Sunday Nwambam is the son of Chief Nwambam Nwuga of Enyadilogu village in Agalegu Ishieke  community, Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.


The source also confirmed that the trader was shot dead in his shop on Wednesday 16 December, 2020, and his corpse has been deposited in the mortuary.


The deceased's younger brother, Kenneth Nwambam also confirmed the incident.

He expressed surprise at how his elder brother, Sunday was shot dead.


He said: "Tragedy has befallen me again for the third time this year.  My brother Ishieke is dead by gun shot. I buried my father recently. I buried my immediate younger brother too, and now my immediate elder brother (Ishieke) is lying dead."

NATIONAL PANEL is yet to confirm from the Police, whether the hoodlums behind the incident have been arrested.
