Ebonyi PDP inaugurates caretaker committee members

 

The Peoples Democractic Party, PDP, inaugurated its new Caretaker Committee under the watch of Chief Fred Udogu on Monday.

 

The National Working Committee of PDP appointed the Ebonyi caretaker committee shortly after the defection of the state governor, David Umahi to All Progressives Congress, APC.

 

This appointment of the PDP committee has degenerated several reactions and factions, following the defection of the governor, which some prominent leaders of the party and founding fathers of the state refused to decamp with him to APC.

 

The committee members which included; Chief Fred Udeogu – Chairman, Barr. Luke Nkwegu  – Secretary, Dr. Gideon Osi –  Publicity Secretary, Hon. James Alaka – Organizing Secretary, Mrs. Amaka Igboke – Women Leader, Barr Mudi Irenede – Legal Adviser and Barr. Ibeshi – Youth Leader were accordingly inaugurated at the NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Abuja.

 

In a statement endorsed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Olosgondiyan Said: “NWC will be performing Inauguration ceremony of the Ebonyi State Chapter Caretaker Committee of the party.

 

Meanwhile, the embattled Chairman of the acclaimed PDP faction in the state Barr. Onyekachi Nwaebonyi had insisted that he remained in charge of the party in Ebonyi.

We learnt that the newly inaugurated caretaker committee led by Fred Udeogu were accordingly charged to reclaim Ebonyi state from the hands of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which Umahi is the leader.

The inauguration was honoured by many  dignitaries of PDP from the State.

At the inauguration of the Ebonyi PDP Caretaker Committee in Abuja, the dignitaries of the party present included:
