Ikwo LG Boss applauds EBSIEC on roles played in 2020 council polls

The Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Elder Steve Orogwu, today, applauded the efforts of the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission Adhoc staff, saying that their roles contributed immensely to his victory this year.


 

Elder Orogwu who made this known at the council headquarters, Onuebonyi Echara while addressing the Adhoc staff who came to receive their payment expressed happiness in the outcome of the 2020 Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in his area.

He thanked the Adhoc staff for the wonderful role they played during and after the election.

He also thanked the state Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, for giving him the opportunity to serve his people.


The Chairman enjoined the Adhoc staff to conduct themselves peacefully while receiving their payment and maintain the already peaceful atmosphere of the council.



In a brief remark, the member 11 of Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission, Chief Boniface Mgbebu expressed joy over the election that saw the emergence of Elder Steve Orogwu as the Executive Chairman of Ikwo. He said that the election was violence free and thanked the EBSIEC Adhoc staff for their well mannered and roles played throughout the election,  charging them to utilize the amount paid no matter how small it maybe.

NATIONAL PANEL learnt that the payment was made in all the twenty wards of Ikwo Council Area by EBSIEC officials and all the EBSIEC Adhoc Staff were paid.
