Hausa Quarters habours criminals in Ebonyi, says Commissioner Uguru

 

 


Emmanuel Uguru, the Ebonyi Commissioner for lands and survey has revealed where criminals terrorising the state live for easy identification and prosecution contrary to their inability to root them out. "The Hausa quarters in this state habours criminals, it is where the criminals are coming from everyday", Uguru said.


The commissioner disclosed this Monday, 28 September, 2020 during a meeting between the state government and the landlords in Ebonyi held at the Pastoral Centre, Mile 50, Abakaliki, the state capital.

Uguru expressed dismay on the rising rate of criminal elements in the quarters and some parts of Ebonyi, calling the land lords to be wary of the new development by working together with the government to fight the situation.
