Ebonyi indigenes in Lagos decry AESID's publication against Umahi

 Ebonyi indigenes based in Lagos State have expressed anger over the publication made against Governor David Umahi by a group called 'Association of Ebonyi State Indigenes in Diaspora, AESID in the recent time.

This was disclosed by the President of Ebonyi State Development Association in Lagos State, Dr. Felix Ama-Nnachi when paid a solidarity visit to Governor Umahi at Government House, Abakaliki,  describing the publication credited to AESID as mischievious and irresponsible one.

Dr. Ama-Nnachi further said, the statement is unfounded allegation made against the state government and however, berated the group as a formation of the frustrated politicians who have been rejected by Ebonyi people looking means to earn popularity but said, they eventually ended in shame.

He declared that all his members in Lagos State are not a party to the I'll minded group and noted that, there was no reason to warrant the false alarm credited to AESID as he assured of their unflinching support to Umahi's administration. 

He hinted that Ebonyi Community in Lagos is registered under Corporate Affairs Commission which in his words, handles all issues concerning Ebonyi State and their people in Lagos, wondered why an illegal organization decided to operate only on social media platforms issued a report from their alleged office in Abuja on matters concerning Ebonyi people in Lagos.

Also speaking, the President of the Women Wing in the Association, Mrs. Ngozi Egbo equally said their solidarity visit was to thank the Governor for his uncommon passion for the development of Ebonyi State and his love for the well-being of the people both home and in Diaspora. 

She also assured the governor of their prayers anywhere in the world for having changed the ugly narratives that were known of the state as she enjoined him not to be distracted by the antics of the Abuja based group.

Receiving the delegation, the State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji advised Ebonyi Community in Lagos and as well all Ebonyians at home and in Diaspora to leverage on the conducive business environment created by Governor Umahi to invest in the state for the socio-economic development.

Barr. Orji appreciated the Association for their unity of purpose and unwavering appreciation to the Governor for his developmental feats in all sectors of the state economy and charged them to disregard the baseless falsehood peddled by a group known as the frustrated politicians who threw up unfounded and misleading reports in  media platforms to deceive unsuspecting members of Ebonyi Community. 

He therefore, described the group as the political jobbers ranting on social media to attract cheap attention, as he assured them of the state government's partnership with  Ebonyi Community in Lagos and other cities of the country for the overall development.
