Publisher of National Issues Newspaper, Chief Emmanuel Igwe has promised to build a new motherless babies home at Centenary City and donate to Nigeria Red Cross society Abakaliki branch.
Chief Emmanuel Igwe made the promise Monday when he visited motherless babies home Nsugbe Street Abakaliki the Ebonyi State Capital.
Chief Igwe said his visit to the Orphanage home was part of activities marking his birthday anniversary celebration,adding that he was propelled by the untold hardship ravaging the current Nigeria society.
He called on the management of the facility to ensure judicious use of the items he donated to the home, noting that his foundation would pay one million two hundred thousand Naria (1,200,000) monthly allowance spanning for twelve months at hundred thousand Naria monthly
Responding on behalf of the management of the Nigerian Red Cross society Mrs Victoria Onah said the management is doing everything within it's powers to ensure that the children are taken good care of, mostly this rainy season.
She assured that all the items donated to the home would be ultilized to the benefit of the children adding that all the caregivers are experienced personnels.
In his remarks chief Celestine Ekechi who was in the company of chief Igwe emphasized the need for the management to see their sacrifices as service to humanity and God.
