He has served as Local government party chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during the reign of Chief Martin Elechi as governor of Ebonyi state in 2008-2015. Also, Amezua was during the era of Engr. David Umahi appointed as Senior Technical Assistant to the governor on power in 2016-2023.
In addition, the hopeful Edda council boss in the forthcoming election is currently serving as member of Edda elder's council.
He was amazingly announced by the state governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to succeed Hon. Prince Chima Ekumankama in the next local election on Saturday, 27th December 2025 when stakeholders from Edda in their numbers paid a Christmas homage to the governor at his county home Oferekpe.
Sir, elder Simeon (aka) Omezua Edda having been anointed, has secured the ticket to contest the chairmanship position under the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in forthcoming council elections.
The anointing of Omezua was divine owing to the fact that none among the stakeholders sent note, text messages to the governor for him to be nominated or chosen.
So the choice was an act of God which came into fulfillment through the anointed holy hands, vision and supernatural understanding of the things of God placed upon the state governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
The confirmation of governor Nwifuru choice among the indigents of Edda is that Amezua is generally a neutral politician, who has meritoriously worked for the advancement of good governance at the grassroots. He is a jolly good fellow, jovial and meticulous, dedicated and trusted politician in Edda.
Today his long silence and away from active politics have been reassimilated by our Youthful governor who doesn't forget the past nor friends therein essentially, dedicated ones like Amezua.
May God Almighty continue to bless governor Nwifuru.

Amezua started his primary education in St. Cecilia Primary School Amaiyi Edda where he obtained his First school leaving Certificate, and later went to Secondary Technical School, Ekoli/Nguzu in Edda local government area of the state where he also obtained his West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate. He later proceeded to Boys Technical College Aba where he read Electrical engineer and to University of Port Harcourt where he got his BSC.
In 1979 he joined active politics and is known as the oldest politician in Edda and a successful businessman.
He is happily married with kids. To God Almighty be the glory as we welcome next Edda council boss in the forthcoming election.
